Built 1867 by Barclay, Curle & Co. at Glasgow with the United Kingdom flag. 1889 it was sold to Sinclair & Ellwood and was operated as 'Sailing Ship Carnarvon Castle Co'. 1897 sold to Flugge, Johannsen & Libinus of Hamburg and renamed Nurnberg. 1905 sold to Sven, O Stray of Christiansand (Norway). It was abandoned on January 10 1910 in the Atlantic Ocean at 35.30 N, 27.24 V, on the road Lobos de Tierra - Antwerp with guano.

Owners: William Nicol, registered Liverpool] The ship was built in 1868 and retained many of the features of wooden ships. Channels and chainplates may be seen and wooden stanchions and rails surround the poop deck and fo'c'sle head.
