All seven letters from Adelaide, and four with the embossed stamp of the 'Cornwall Fire & Marine Life Insurance Co. / Henry Scott / Adelaide', and dated between 17 May and 3 November 1879.

Paddle steamer 'Murrumbidgee'
The 'Murrumbidgee' on the bank of a river, with a barge behind it. Caption on back reads PS "Murrumbidgee" loading wood. Steamers were wood fired. When the boats were running fast woodcutters would be engaged to cut and stockpile timber. When the pace was slower, as in slack times, the crew would often cut and load their own wood. The PS "Murrumbidgee" regularly steamed along the Goulburn River, shipping wheat from Shepparton. It was also used to hawk goods to settlements along the Darling River.
