Replacing the radiator on the starboard engine of the Vimy at Northfield 1920. The radiator is famous because as well as the Australian flight, it was prior to that on the machine which Sir John Alcock flew the Atlantic in 1914

Overhauling the starboard engine of the Vimy at Northfield, March 1920. Thrust race in timing case and prop shaft drive broke up and chewed out casing. Casing had to be welded, remachined and new thrust race fitted
