Originally housed in labelled sleeves with an index, they feature the Bachmann and Plunket families, as well as more general scenes. The original envelope number (where it exists) is shown in square brackets after the description of each image, and can be cross-referenced to the index (see B 71826/656). Images 201-300 feature the family home, and views around Adelaide.

Photographs and papers collected by the family over a period of time relating to the family home 'Weetunga' at Fulham, and the surrounding area. They include photographs of the house, the barn and garden, a large tree which fell on the property, a hand drawn map of the property (nd), an article 'Witoinga - Swamp to City : the history of Henley & Grange' by Lawrence Dalziel (ca.1975), and a number of newspaper and magazine articles on 'Weetunga' (1928-1989) and one newspaper cutting about 'Holmfirth' (1929). Information for photographs 21-24 was provided by Mrs. M. White.

Photograph album of the Ive and Bagot families

Photograph album thought to have been compiled by Eileen Dubois Ive (later Mrs John Frederick Bagot) daughter of Charles William Ive and Agnes Dubois. The album contains photographs of many family members and friends, at 'Acton', Woodville and other places, showing fund raising and commemoration days during and after the first World War, such as Cheer Up Society work and marches, events such as Repatriation Day, French Red Cross Day and the opening of the Soldiers' War Memorial on North Terrace. Eileen married John Frederick Bagot in 1915 before his departure to France with the 13th Light Horse brigade and this album includes a number of photographs presumably taken by John Bagot, of fellow officers, places in Egypt, France and Palestine, and of the Camel Corps. The album contains five additional loose photographs, six postcards and one newspaper cutting regarding the sale of Stradbroke, the Magill home of Mr C. L. J. Dubois (maternal grandfather of Eileen Ive) and these have been placed at the end of the album. The postcards and newspaper clipping have not been digitised.

Estcourt House, Grange

Estcourt House, Grange. This large17 rooms two storey house with a smaller third storey with a wrap around verandah was built for Frederick Estcourt and Rosa Bucknal and their eleven children and eight servants. The area is now known as Tennyson. Frederick Estcourt Bucknal was a well known businessman who married Rosa Haussen, the widow of Henry Haussen of the brewers, Haussen and Company. He was involved in various schemes including the development of the Henley Beach and Grange jetties, and a non successful idea to join the Port River to the sea by constructing an artifical canal. The house was built with a view of overseeing this canal.

Buildings formerly owned by Sir J.H. Fisher and his son C.B. Fisher, situated close to Henley Beach Road, north side between Lockleys and Brooklyn Park (on section 144). Number of section supplied by the Clerk of the District of West Torrens in 1945 to Mr. G.C. Morphett. Section 144 was granted to James Fisher on 12th May 1835 and was transferred by him to his father, J.H. Fisher. The man sitting on the fence to the right is Washington Goodfellow.
