W. Oxford draper and grocer store. William and Emma Oxford (nee Wood) arrived in SA ca.1855 (obituary of daughter Emily Allen, 1941); and lived at Salisbury in the 1850s and 1860s. Emma died in 1867 and in 1869 William married Deborah Adair - newspaper marriage notice in 1869 says 'Mr William Oxford, storekeeper, Salisbury' to Mrs Deborah Adair, etc. William died at Reynella in 1909, aged 86
