North Adelaide beat Glenelg 13 goals 14 behinds to 8 goals 12 behinds. The Governor opened the new pavilion on the same day. According to a researcher, player number 11 is Vernon Maloney (North Adelaide) and number 3 is Alfred (Alby) Fooks (North Adelaide).

[They were concrete cassions made on the beach at the end of Anzac Highway and rolled into the sea and floated out to be sunk in a line off the old Glenelg jetty. The project was abandoned before WW2.]
