The back of the mount bears the imprint of 'Edward Farndell, Photographer (from Kent Town), No. 83 Hindley Street, Adelaide, Late Professor Hall's', together with a contemporary inscription in ink 'Tho. Spicer Adey Aug./69'. A later inscription to lower margin of the front of the mount reads 'Tho. Spicer Adey (Friends)'.
