A collection of circa 280 colour slides relating to Marbury School. A small selection of these has been digitised and can be viewed online. The slides include portraits of Margaret Langley, Marbury School buildings, gardens, classroom activities and school events taken by Mrs Susan Dixon in 1990; visit to Frahn's Farm 1982; Eucla trip; school production of Romeo and Juliet 1988; clouds; Iron Knob and Whyalla mining and steelworks. A miscellaneous collection of mounted photographs relating to exploration of South Australia and the Northern Territory, including several unidentified outback stations, a group portrait of Aboriginal people of Port Lincoln ca. 1900, and maritime topics. A selection have been digitised. Photographs 3, 5-7 are albumen prints of etchings by Frederick Nixon, 1845 duplicating copies held elsewhere in the Pictorial Collection. A photograph of the 'Lusitania, Circular Quay, Sydney, NSW', Excelsior Photo Company' and an interesting series of nineteenth century photos of Tarputree Hindu temples, India with views of Gopuram, Mundapum with lion figures, and a stone car or chariot drawn by horses, are included.

Development of Adelaide 1839-1914: series of lantern slides.

Series of 102 black and white lantern slides numbered 40-145, illustrating the development of Adelaide, 1839-1914. Some slides are of maps, lithographs and sketches made by nineteenth century artists and lithographers. The series juxtaposes views of Adelaide buildings and streets and key landmarks at several time periods, to show the changes and developments in Adelaide to 1914. The streets in focus in this series include King William Street, North Terrace, Stephen's Place, Rundle Street, Hindley Street, Pulteney Street, Grenfell Street, Pirie Street, Gouger Street, Gawler Place and Hindmarsh Square. The following slides are not held: 1-39, 63, 67, 81, 128.

They include photographs of the house, the barn and garden, a large tree which fell on the property, a hand drawn map of the property (nd), an article 'Witoinga - Swamp to City : the history of Henley & Grange' by Lawrence Dalziel (ca.1975), and a number of newspaper and magazine articles on 'Weetunga' (1928-1989) and one newspaper cutting about 'Holmfirth' (1929). Illustrated slides including published images

Records of the Reverend Arthur M. Trengove comprising colour lantern slides of illustrated cartoons. Some were possibly hand painted and some were made from engraved designs. Most were likely used during church services or presentations and for teaching purposes. The slides have a circular frame imbeded in the illustration. Some slides have 'B&S patent' or 'Canadian lecture, Copyright' inscribed in the image, which would relate to the slide's production. There are four cartoon sequences including the following; 1. a five slide cartoon version of the Cinderella fairytale, 2. a six slide cartoon sequence with turkish or eastern interior and figures, 3. a seven slide cartoon sequence of a ship and crew during a shipwreck, 4. a 12 slide sub series relating to shipping (The Fram) and exploration (Jackson and Nansen). There are also five other miscellaneous illustrated cartoons. See CONTENTS for more information and details.
