Residence of Dr William Talbot Clindening on North Terrace. Born in Belfast, Ireland on 6 January 1825, Dr Clindening arrived in South Australia aboard the 'Gipsy' in 1853. He practised medicine at Middleton, Mt Gambier and Kapunda prior to settling in Adelaide. The right side of house is 79 yards east of Morphett Street. Behind the house Mrs F. Worley's Boarding House on Hindley Street can be seen
