Packer, Edward George, c. 1900, Photograph, B 69727
Ted Packer was reported to be an enthusiastic amateur photographer when he was twenty-one years of age (The Narracoorte Herald, 23 October 1903). Seven years later he was adverting his services as a photographer in Tailem Bend, in addition to being a hairdresser, tobacconist, news agent, cycle agent and picture framer. The collection is probably a mixture of Packer and Wiese family photographs, photographs taken by Ted Packer as a photography enthusiast who gave magic lantern presentations to the public, and glass plate negatives of photographs taken by Ted Packer as a regional professional photographer. There are also a few photographs taken by others after Ted's death.
