Views of the northern Flinders Ranges: a collection of loose mounted photographs showing localities in the northern Flinders Ranges. All photographs have pencilled captions on the verso, and scenes include hills, ranges, landscape, waterholes, creeks, trees and vegetation on and around Moolooloo, Wirrealpa, Artimore and Wertaloona Runs in the Leigh Creek and Copley regions. Creeks, gorges and hills pictured include Windy Creek, Little Bob Mooney Creek, Aroona Water, Nepowie Creek, McKinlay Creek, Erengunda Creek, Owienagin Creek, Mora Water, Owienagin Gorge, Nepowie Gorge, Wertaloona Gorge, Cone Hill, Erengunda Hill, Mount Craig, Artimore Range, Wirrealpa Hill. For details of individual photographs see 'more information' tabs. Four images have been digitised from copies held elsewhere in the Archival Collections. The creator and the donor of these photographs is unknown, but many of the images bear resemblance to photographs compiled and collected by the Government Photographer, as seen in albums B 72087, B 72088, B 72089.

Drawings from the Frome expedition

Album of sketches done by James Henderson. Most were done when Henderson was a member of Captain Frome's expedition to the north in 1843, and these sketches complement the diary of James Henderson 'Exploration of N. interior of S. Australia'; the remaining drawings are of scenes around Adelaide, Inman Valley and Rapid Bay. The drawings are generally of a larger landscape but most have a point of interest in the form of kangaroos, emus, people, etc. The expedition drawings are for the most part done in the album; a few smaller ones have been done on paper and inserted into the album later. All the watercolours were done on paper and then added to the album.

Collection of mostly silver albumen photographs, in an album. Believed to have been taken by F.C. Krichauff, who worked as a photographer in South Australia. The photographs include bush scenes, houses, waterfalls, group travelling through northern South Australia on camels, Aboriginal people, Victorian bush scenes and early Australian stamps [the photographs of stamps have not been digitised]. A group from the congregation of the Union Church in Tarcoola Street at Renmark West, built 1919-1920 on donated land on the south side of the Renmark West [primary] School. It is believed that it was taken in rlation to the laying of the foundation stones (see reports in the 'Murray River and Australian River Record', 14 November 1919, page 6 and 5 November 1920, page 5).
