[General description] The view along Russell Street shows the three storey high stone wall of the factory building. A man is pedalling up the street on a tricycle with a large carrying compartment in front. Burford and Sons manufactured soap, candles, starch, blue, black lead, soda crystals, blacking, Brunswick black and lubricating oils. [On back of photograph] 'Acres 611 and 556 / Russell Street, east side / Remains of Burford's factory. (Burned out about 7 years previously) / Nov. 24,1926. / Near side of high wall is 50.5 yards north of Gilbert Street'.
