Summary

[On back of photograph] 'Acre 608 / Gilbert Street, north side / Apr. 18, 1926 / Ross Motor Body Works erected in 1925. For view of premises formerly on the site see B 2711. Near side of Ross' is 36 yards west of Tapley Street. Frontage of Ross': 35 yards.' [General description] This new brick building has large panelled windows all along its road frontage and the name of the company appears in large letters over the front entrance. A fire hydrant is seen at the kerb and an electricity pole and its wires dominate the skyline.
