[General description] This extensive one storey house has rendered walls and a tiled roof with vents. It has a long street frontage with a wooden paling fence. The shop which fronts directly onto the footpath has an arched window and evidence of a balcony which has been removed. Carrington Street, Adelaide

[General description] This new section of the Amscol factory has been added on to the facade of the earlier stone building. The business, founded in 1922, is growing. [General description] City businesses from left to right: Part of the Crown and Sceptre Hotel, the Fish, Oyster and Grill Saloon, A.F. Shelton's Ham Shop and the King's Theatre. A tradesman's horse and cart stands outside the Hotel. [General description] Railway staff pose with the Glenelg train Number 62 which has halted in the middle of King William Street, smoke billowing from its stack. The locomotive is facing the carriages. Note the ornate lamp on the right. Market Street, Adelaide

[General description] This Church and Institute was designed in the Gothic style by Architects Messrs. Williams & Good and its builder was Mr. J. Dawe. There are arched windows, stonework tracery and stained glass in the church section, topped with a cupola. The building has a dual purpose: the upstairs is the chapel whilst the rooms downstairs are meeting rooms. It was opened on the 31st October, 1895. Wright Street, Adelaide

[General description] This streetscape focuses on the church building at 72 Wright Street (in the centre of the view) was erected in 1895 (then enlarged in 1897) as a church and Institute for the Deaf and Dumb Society. It is a 'fine example of early colonial architecture constructed of hand dressed sandstone walls and rendered lintels' according to the plaque attached to the building which is now Edmund Barton Chambers. It has been altered and is in excellent repair in 2019. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 456 / Wright Street, north side (NW corner of Market Street) / June 29th 1960'
