Castalloy moved to new premises in North Plympton earlier, in 1953. [General Description] Two cottages on the western side of Grattan Street just off Franklin Street. A two storey building on West Terrace can be seen in the distance. The photograph shows the area on the south side of Waymouth Street near Morphett Street. [On back of photograph] Acre 195 Waymouth Street, south side. Nov. 27th, 1925. The metal hoops surrounding part of the Light Square Gardens can be seen in the foreground. [General description] An interesting perspective view down Cannon Street showing the rear of factory buildings. In the foreground the handlebars of a bicycle appear whilst two men ride their bicycles along the street. They are occupied by small shops including a fish shop, the Farmers and Settlers Association, and G.A. Bonnett, Saddlers. In 2012 the Bonnett family still own saddlery stores in Adelaide.

Business' on the southern side include Howard Smith Limited, Ernest Graham at number nineteen, National Insurance Company, Green and Company, Adelaide Chamber of Commerce, Horticultural Society, and the South Australian Gas Company. [General description] The enlarged South Australian Gas Company building is now six stories high. The building is of brick and has a larger cantilevered verandah. Next door is the National Insurance Company of New Zealand building, including the Chamber of Commerce. [General description] Two two-storey buildings photographed from the opposite side of Waymouth Street. The name A.M. Rodda Limited, Real Estate Agents, is prominent on the upper storey of the C.O.A. Building on the left although the 'to let' sign indicates that this business has probably moved on. The buildings had previously been joined at the upper storey level by rooms over the lane. These were removed in 1927. [General description] This view shows the road and buildings on the west side of King William Street. On the left is the old General Post Office. In the centre is the Family Hotel, later to become the Criterion. The publican at this time is W. Hubble. Note the archway supporting a large lamp at the kerb in front of the hotel.
