Summary

[General description] This new Art Deco inspired building is situated on the southern end of Light Square. It is the business premises for Master Butcher's Limited and Speciality Printer's Limited. The metal hoops surrounding part of the Light Square Gardens can be seen in the foreground. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 195 / Waymouth Street, south side / February 8th 1938 / Western wing of Light Buildings completed in 1937 / Compare with B 3170 / Right side of 3 storey building (Light Building) is 17 yards east of Morphett Street / Frontage is 30 yards'.
