Many are taken at the family home 'Valhalla' at 31 Verona Street, North Kensington; and others at a community playground in Corinda Avenue, Kensington Park. There is also a sequence taken on a family holiday to the Darling - Murray region, including Mildura and Wentworth in the 1930s.

A collection of photographs relating to the south-west suburbs of Brighton, Glenelg, Seacliff, Noarlunga and nearby suburbs in South Australia. The group includes a series of photos showing the damage to the Brighton jetty after major storms in 1994 and 1995, and its subsequent re-building. According to brief paperwork attached to the photos (now removed), many of the photographs were published in the Guardian Messenger. Where more than one date has been supplied, one of the dates may refer to the date of publication. See 'contents' for details of individual images.

Photograph album of the Davenport family of Battunga, near Macclesfield. Photographs include views of the homestead, property and cottages, family members at Christmas celebrations, picnics and other family occasions at Beaumont House, Port Elliot and North Adelaide. The album includes several photographs of Sir Samuel Davenport. Captions have been noted from handwritten sheets included in the album. Photographs 1-128 which relate to South Australia, have been digitised. The remaining photographs in the album are of travels overseas to Chungking, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Comprising a World War II photograph album of 49 pages created by Private Colin James Ellis 'S21513', during his service in Darwin, in the 27th Infantry Battalion (South Australian Scottish Regiment) 20/11/1941-18/8/1943. The album consists of 49 composite pages, each page with an average of 4 individual photographs, which document Ellis' war service in Darwin and surrounding regions whilst serving in the 7MD Field Postal Unit. Included are images of everyday life in service, servicemen and military scenes in Darwin and Larrakeeyah (Northern Territory), Japanese Air Raid scenes during and after the attacks, damage caused by air raids including sunken ships and burned out buildings, Adelaide River headquarters, general landscape and leisure scenes, scenes of men and women off-duty. There is a section of pages at the end which illustrate Army troupes marching though Wagga Wagga (New South Wales) Labour Day 7/10/1943. Much of the photograph album is captioned. Photograph album belonging to Effie Ferguson

A collection of amateur family snaps, social events and holidays of Ferguson family members, mostly in and around Victor Harbor. A few appear to have been taken overseas and interstate. Many are taken in Gandy's Gully (which appears as 'Ganley's Gully in the captions - perhaps a family pun on the official name) and on the south coast at Victor Harbor and Port Elliot, and possibly also at Inman Valley. The earlier, captioned photographs are dated by the owner as being taken in 1902, but there is a clear progression apparent both in terms of the fashions worn and the quality of the photography.

Series of 102 black and white lantern slides numbered 40-145, illustrating the development of Adelaide, 1839-1914. Some slides are of maps, lithographs and sketches made by nineteenth century artists and lithographers. The series juxtaposes views of Adelaide buildings and streets and key landmarks at several time periods, to show the changes and developments in Adelaide to 1914. The streets in focus in this series include King William Street, North Terrace, Stephen's Place, Rundle Street, Hindley Street, Pulteney Street, Grenfell Street, Pirie Street, Gouger Street, Gawler Place and Hindmarsh Square. The boundaries of the hundreds with the County are shown in colours and an inset map shows the adjoining Counties of Russell and Sturt around the Murray Lakes, Hindmarsh Island and the Murray Mouth. Lake Alexandrina is shown as Lake Victoria (its change of name proposed after the accession of Queen Victoria). Archival copies indicate land and section holdings of the South Australian Company.

Wool was brought down the NSW river system to the railhead at Echuca, then on to Melbourne for the clipper fleet to Europe. The grand opening caused much excitement in the town and the local shops were decorated for the occasion. This photograph shows a bridge of garlands over Murray Street. The attached banner reads "A Loyal Greeting".
