Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Murray Bridge. A public meeting decided to establish a hospital as a memorial to soldiers who had fallen in World War I. The hospital was opened on donated land in 1923.

View of Railway Bridge, Murray Bridge. This shared road and rail bridge existed from 1885 until 1925 when a separate rail bridge was built. The bridge was constructed over marshland and a lagoon. The railway working party reached Murray Bridge in 1884 with the first train arriving in 1885. The railway line across the river was placed in the middle of the road bridge. The foundation stone was laid in 1873

[General description] This bridge spanning the River Murray was built in 1879, and from 1886 carried the railroad as well. The bridge was closed to road traffic when a train was crossing. [On back of photograph] 'Murray Bridge / View of the railway bridge and wharf / 1907-11. The wharf and warehouse can be seen in the distance with a paddle steamer at mooring.
