Presbyterian Church at Woodville. The Woodville Wesleyan Mission was organised in 1876 as part of the Port Adelaide Circuit. Local landowner Captain Henry Simpson donated a portion of his land on Woodville Road so that a church could be built. In 1883 the original iron church was replaced by one built of stone. The foundation stone was laid by Mrs W Crocks in 1883. The church was enlarged in 1903 and included transepts, vestries and could seat 500

Wooltana Head Station is situated 103 kms north east of Blinman and 259 kms north west of Broken Hill. The sheep station was established on Adnyamathanha traditional lands by pioneer John McTaggart. The photograph shows the homestead, outbuildings, windmills, vegetables gardens and the plains stretching out in the background.

Wonga Shoal Lighthouse

Wonga Shoal Lighthouse

Wonga Shoal Lighthouse was built in 1901 and was an iron structure on screw piles with accommodation for two keepers. The revolving light weighing eleven tons floated on a bath of mercury and was visible for nineteen miles. It was destroyed by the ship Dimsdale crashing into it in 1912. The two keepers were drowned in the accident.

Laube family residence at Yahl. According to a researcher, this home built by Carl August Laube and his wife Dorothea, nee Henningsen. The couple left the district in 1924 and the property was transferred to Walter Jenkin. The current owner of the home provided the following information: ' ...this home - in Caroline Headquarters Road - Yahl was sold from the Laubes to the Jenkin family who then sold it to Owen Dickson, the property then became P'T Owen estate and I bought it off Owen Dickson's daughter Pamela and Steven Lynch in 2010'.

The road leading to Warooka from the centre of the township. On the back of the photograph it is stated "The main street - Warooka Road 1902 - 1907". The Methodist Church was completed by 1876 and St Columba's Catholic Church was built in 1903. Two churches can be seen in the photograph along with FW Friebe - Bootmaker on the opposite side of the main street.

[General description] Various travellers, some mounted upon horses or mules and others with horse drawn vehicles stand in front of a corrugated iron building which is the General store at Yudnamutana. The terrain is rocky and sparsely vegetated. This area was settled by pastoralists in the 1850s but the prospectors soon followed. Copper was mined from 1862 but the site had insufficient water to be viable. Mining was once again attempted in the early 1900s but the mine was abandoned by 1912. See B 38340 for a photograph taken in 1909.

Portrait of Josiah Boothby Public Administrator, Government Statistican, Trustee of the Savings Bank of South Australia. He was appointed Executive Commissioner representing South Australia at the Paris Universal Exhibition in 1878. He was created CMG for this position. He retired from the Public Service of South Australia in 1907. He was regarded as the most powerful civil servant in the colony. This photograph depicts Josiah Boothby proudly wearing the Medal of the Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George, and the Cross of the Legion of Honour.
