Harold Beaney (1909-2004) joined the Engineering and Water Supply (E&WS) Department as a young engineering graduate, rising to become engineering chief by the time of his retirement. During his career he oversaw the construction of the Goolwa barrage and the Morgan-Whyalla pipeline, among others. The albums reflect his interest in photography.
