An Australian Army truck, identified by Colin White as 'My first army truck 1940 Chev Adelaide River NT 1941'. The truck bears the number plate 1426 and has a canvas-covered frame over the back. According to a researcher, the registration of this truck is AIF (vertically aligned) Australian Imperial Forces L1426 (L, signifying Lorry).

Colin Faulkner ('Knocker') White is leaning against the driver's door.
