General notes

Additional information supplied by Ann White: 'Even at the time, Colin felt this forest should have been left uncleared. However, it occupied an area that eventually became four soldier settlement blocks, and so the LDE insisted that it be cleared.'

Photograph from a selection of photographs from the White family album, taken by Colin Faulkner White whilst working on land clearing projects for the Land Development Board at Keppock, near Penola in the SE, for soldier settlements. Also included are a number of photographs from his childhood and army service.
