Martha and Charles Brown arrived from England in 1866. Charles established his business in Willunga in 1871. He was the local carpenter, wheelwright and undertaker.

WILLUNGA: Atkinson Brothers bakers and general storekeepers. Tom and Frank Atkinson are second and fourth from right respectively. Charlie Williamson is in the white coat and Bart Hailstone, who was a butcher is wearing the apron. The Chevrolet van, registration number 118-318, belonged to AMSCOL.

PORT WILLUNGA: This view depicts the shipwreck of the ship Star of Greece. The ship became stuck on a reef, north of the Port Willunga jetty between 2a.m. and 3 a.m. on the 13th of July, 1888. The ship was built at Belfast, in 1868, by Harland & Wolff. It was registered as 1,193 tons and was insured for $24,450.

WILLUNGA: From Volume One of an album. A very early view of the Bangor Slate Quarries more commonly known as the Australian Slate Quarries. A slate cutting machine can be seen on the immediate left of the shed. The shed apparently contained more machines as the square holes in the wall were generally used for disposal of the off cuts [copy of B 24135].
