Believed to have been photographed at Morphettville Camp. A researcher has suggested that one of the soldiers may be No.3260 Private William Vincent Caffrey, enlisted 20 July 1915 aged 24, served with the 10th Battalion, 11th Reinforcement, embarked from Adelaide on board the HMAT A24 'Benalla' on 27 October 1915, returned to Australia 11 May 1916.

Friedrich Krichauff : SUMMARY RECORD

Papers of Friedrich Krichauff and family comprising certificates, including clients certificates of naturalisation, family and business correspondence, 5 letters from Ferdinand von Mueller, papers re: S.A. and N.T. land transactions, tax returns, papers re: estates of Earl, Leopoldt, Reitschler, Schoenberg and others, wills, legal memoranda, share scrip, ledgers, papers re: Spark Arrestor Co. and papers re: the Enemy Property Act. A donation in 2010 comprises a collection of letters sent to Friedrich Krichauff, mostly from his family in Germany, Denmark and Schleswig-Holstein 1843-1892. These have been arranged in order by Tom Darragh, and a listing made by him giving date, writer and place. Almost all the letters in the collection are written in old German script, except for some written to him by others in South Australia. They also include farm account books (small notebooks), household accounts and receipts, school reports and family tree documents of the von Bertouch and Krichauff families. There are also 17 letters in English from H.J. Cumming in 1865 relating to management of a mine at Cape Jervis (probably the silver-lead Talisker mine at Silverton). Also includes a program for Carl Linger sacred vocal music concert in 1855 in Adelaide (series 65). Two of the works were by Linger, who conducted the orchestra led by Mr Chapman. ANZAC commemorative medals issued to Harold Oxer and Arthur Lucas Oxer. These medals were awarded to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the Gallipoli landings. Issued in 1967, medals were available only to survivors or their next of kin.
