McKeevor, Francis Malcolm Blair, Coghill, Stanley Price Weir (later 10th Battalion AIF), John James Hughes (later 32nd Battalion, AIF), Leonard Watkins Bickle and Oldham. Major Edward Castle Oldham (who died at Lone Pine on 25 April 1915) is third from the right in the front row. It would appear that this photo is roughly contemporary with the group in PRG 280/1/26/289.

Miniature train at Adelaide Zoo
ZOOLOGICAL GARDENS: A group of men on a miniature train used to convey visitors around the Adelaide Zoological Gardens. This locomotive, powered by a petrol engine, was built by H.V. McKay of Sunshine, Victoria in 1925. He built a similar locomotive for Sydney's Taronga Park Zoo [See B 12201 for another view of the locomotive].

MANNUM: One passenger bus and four motor cars used by the Birdseye bus line parked outside buildings on the main road at Mannum, South Australia; driver Gladys Birdseye can be seen walking towards her brother Syd who is wearing a white coat and a dark hat.
The jetty at Marion Bay
MARION BAY: The jetty at Marion Bay, South Australia which was used by the Victor Electric Plaster Mills for shipping gypsum. A fishing boat is moored in the foreground. According to a researcher, the three masted vessel in the foreground is the wooden cargo schooner "Coringle", built in Sydney in 1909. Between 1927 and 1939 the vessel was owned by the Austral Plaster Company, which used it for gypsum carrying. In this photo the vessel is fully loaded with gypsum, at Stenhouse Bay, for cartage to the plaster works in Port Adelaide. "Coringle" was taken over by the US Army Small Ships during WW2 and returned after the war under the ownership of R. Fricker and Co. and worked the SA coast until 1965.

They are described as being the 'first S.A. residents in Zion City'. (They left Sydney for British Columbia, Canada ten days later.).
