Opening of the Soldiers' Memorial Hall at Renmark on 3 May 1923. This image appeared in 'The Chronicle', Saturday 26 May 1926 with the caption 'The Soldiers Memorial Hall at Renmark. The foundation stone was laid by General Sir William Birdwood over three years ago, and the building was recently declared open by Mr F. M. McMillan, M.P.

The paddle steamer "Marion" is moored at the riverbank. The Wharf Shed stands in the centre of the photograph. A church can be seen on the right of the photograph. The church is possibly St Augustine's Anglican Church on James Avenue
