Catch of Murray cod caught at Renmark

Fish caught at Renmark for the Adelaide market : it was a week's catch for three men which came to 1800 lbs of fish at one penny halfpenny per pound. A researcher has added that 'these fish are Murray cod (Maccullochella peelii). This is a very important photo because it documents the severe overfishing that caused the first declines of Murray cod'.
