Prospect carnival procession
Twenty five "ladies riding astride" participanting in a procession to the Prospect Oval for a carnival in aid of the Australian Soldiers Repatriation Fund. The Register newspaper of 20 November 1916 reported "Punctually at 2 o'clock a long procession moved away from the North Road, along Lefevre terrace, Brougham place, O'Connell street and the Prospect road to the Prospect Oval. ... Then followed a cavalcade of 25 ladies riding astride and collection on route."

Graham's Castle, Prospect
Graham's Castle (Prospect House), Prospect. It had a reputation of being a "haunted house". Its builder was J.B. Graham who set up business in Adelaide and did so well he was one of the lucky few who were in a position to invest in the original Burra mine, from which he made a fortune. Stobie pole at Prospect
A decorated stobie pole in Braund Road, Prospect, near the Prospect Primary School. In 1924, South Australian James Stobie invented the steel and concrete 'stobie pole' to carry electricity and telephone lines. Stobie poles solved the problems of the State's lack of suitable timber, and the need for a reliable supply of poles for the expansion of electricity into the countryside. In most other Australian states wooden telegraph poles are used.
