Military personnel
A formal group of soldiers photographed in South Australia. It seems likely that the man in the second row, 3rd from left is Lieutenant T.R. Richards [see PRG 2801/1/26/104 for comparison]. According to a researcher, the man third from right hand side is Capt. B.S. Connor, 16th Light Horse. He later became Aide-de-camp to Governor Galway (1915).

Floodwaters from the Murray River in a South Australian township, believed to be at Mannum during the 1917 flood [see PRG 1258/2/992 & 982], with a view of waters which have inundated houses, shops, and sheds. The men are believed to be loading barges at Walkers Flour Mill, which is out of frame on the right.
