Summary

Members of the S.A. Central War Loan Committee standing on the steps of the 'Bank of Thrift', a pavilion erected outside the gates of Government House in Adelaide which was used as a venue for fund raising purposes during World War I. Caption from a more original copy [located in PRG 310/1/7] reads: 'The S.A. Central War Loan Committee. Who conducted the State's Seventh War Loan Campaign, 1918, with such successful results. Front row (reading from left to right) - Messrs A.J. Roberts, O.B.E., A.H. Fearon, T.B. Harrington, Inspector M.B. Young (Commonwealth Bank), His Worship the Mayor (Mr. C.R.J. Glover, Chairman), W.
