Group portrait comprising predominantly young men, but also including two women and older gentlemen, taken outside a large brick building. The men are wearing suits with ties and waistcoats and some members of the group are holding books, and others are holding signs with Christian messages, including: 'Jesus. That in all things he might have the pre-eminence', 'My God shall supply all your needs', and 'He knoweth the way that I tooke'. Possibly a Christian society, association or fellowship, such as the Independent Order of Rechabites.
