Young woman

Young woman

Portrait of a young woman. Identified on the back as 'Lilly Gregory, granddaughter of Oliver and Ann Gregory' there is a question about the accuracy of this identification. The only Lilly Gregory was Lilly Edith, born 25.2.1883, Brooklyn Park, daughter of Ann and Oliver's son James (1850-1893) and his wife Rosa Susan nee Edwards (1856-1914). The dress and hairstyle suggest that this photo was taken in the late 1910s to early 1920s and the woman is not aged in her mid-30s. It is believed that the photo was sent to Freda Gregory's mother and is probably of a niece or niece by marriage of Annie nee Breeze) Gregory.

Cabinet portrait photograph of the Dillon Family of Park Terrace, Bowden.
