Collection of photographs of Presbyterian Church buildings activities and people. Items 211- 216 are all portraits from the John Knox Church, William Street, Morphett Vale. This church, which became a Free Kirk in 1857-58, was originally call Brodie's Church, and then Anderson's Church. The Continuing Presbyterian Church took on responsibility for the building in 1977. Hoffmann photographs, box 16, Deb Jean and wedding

Part of a collection of glass plate negatives which have been transferred from the National Trust of South Australia, Victor Harbor Branch. The images comprise a wedding party, a lady in a long dress with flowers who may possible be a debutante, and two additional portraits. The negatives were originally from Charles Hoffmann [assumed to be Hoffmann Photographics, Victor Harbor]. Kodak Orthichromatic plates.

Duryea's Adelaide Album 3

Duryea, Townsend, c. 1866, Photograph, B 73320/1-8

An album compiled by Adelaide photographer, Townsend Duryea, with the title 'Duryea's Adelaide Album' embossed on the front cover. The first 'page' is a panorama of Adelaide, comprising five roughly uniform panels, mounted on linen to form a continuous image 12.5 x 89.5 mm (the linen measures 248 x 940 mm, and folds into three equal sections to fit into the album). The other photographs in the album show Rundles, Hindley and Wakefield Streets, North Terrace and the Botanic Gardens. Inside the front cover is a small photographic portrait of a man, believed to be Duryea.

Albums of miscellaneous photographs including: farming and station properties, horse drawn vehicles, townships, farm buildings and implements, and portraits of prominent South Australians including members of Legislative Council. Album 2 comprises photographs of the 1890 Royal Pastoral Commission inspection of South Australia and the Northern Territory showing members of the Commission and locations they visited. Some of the locations include: 'Springfield' the property owned by John Warren and Mount Crawford, Williamstown, Wirrabara, Tandowie, Wilpena Pound, the Barossa Ranges, Beltana Station, Farina, Strangways Springs, Warren Reservoir, Millbrook Reservoir, Morgan, the Murray River, Anna Creek, Beetaloo Dam, the Macdonnell Ranges, Melrose, the Flinders Ranges, and Strzelecki Creek. Also included are photographs thought to be of the Warren family at 'Springfield' and taken during various family outings, and photographs of John Warren comprising: a photograph of John Warren and two other men dressed in military uniform, a group portrait of the Royal Pastoral Commission, an unidentified group portrait (possibly the Legislative Council), and a composite photograph of the 1902 Legislative Council.

Talbot, an invitation to an 'At Home' at the Sunshine Cafe, marriage invitations for Olive and Joy Talbot, copy of speech from G. F. S. (Girl's Friendly Society) congratulating Olive on her coming marriage, list of quiz questions relating to marriage and several Kodak and other print envelopes, one of them with a stamp for Gordon R. B. Parham Chemist, Streaky Bay.

Photos collected by LCE Lindon over the years. Numbers 1-18 were identified by LCEL as 'very precious ... must not be destroyed'. They feature his wife and her grandmother, his siblings, two of his time at Geelong Grammar School, war related photographs, extended family, and his wife and children. Heinrich family album, compiled by Ilona Oppenheim from loose family photographs. Notes found on the verso of photographs are noted in the caption in inverted commas. Topics include life at Hermannsburg Mission in the Northern Territory in the nineteen twenties, with photographs of some Aboriginal people and visitors to Hermannsburg, including scientists, government officials and tourists. Photos 293-295 are restricted from view pending assessment of Aboriginal content. These images include 293. Ceremonial tjuringa stones of the Hermannsburg area (restricted); 294. 'Manangananga' sacred cave (restricted); 295. 'Holy cave 17 April 1929 (Dad's birthday)'. Large group of Aboriginal people from the Hermannsburg Mission gathered at a sacred spot (restricted). Photos 296-302 have not been digitised. These are duplicated elsewhere in other Heinrich albums or lantern slides.

Portrait of an unidentified woman, seated, wearing a dress with a small lace collar, with a brooch and a long necklace. The photograph is comprised of two layered prints, a front tinted portrait, printed onto a sheet and attached to a glass plate, and a second, tinted copy of the same portrait on paper with a glass plate backing, set behind the first print.

Captain John Bishop

Portrait of Captain John Bishop seated, wearing a waistcoat with a low 'V' collar, an open jacket, and a white shirt with a high collar and black bow tie. The positive image has been developed on glass, with the skin tones and background hand-coloured, with a second sheet of glass placed on top. Backing the glass is a second print of the portrait, developed on paper, with the face whited out, and the background hand-coloured. The double images give the portrait a sense of depth.
