This photograph may have been taken on 18 October 1918 upon their arrival in Adelaide from active service overseas, possibly at Government House. Sign displayed alongside the Barrier Highway in South Australia, which advertises an AMPOL petrol station at the nearby town of Yunta. The sign is roughly made. Part of the Broken Hill to Port Pirie railway line can be seen in the background. The view also shows the sandy soil and sparse vegetation common to the far northern region of South Australia.
