[General description] Cornell's Motor Cycle dealers' newly altered premises dominate this street scene.The car in the centre, registration number 20371, is an Overland, first registered by J.M. Ingham of Kingston Terrace, North Adelaide. On the opposite side of the road a motorcycle with a sidecar can be seen. See B 3233 for the building before alterations. [General description] The South Australian Insurance Company's building dominates this view of the street corner on a wet day. Some people are standing on the pavement whilst others are crossing the road. The two-horse wagonette standing at the kerb is probably a cab. Note the two signs on the telegraph pole reminding horse riders and drivers to 'walk round corners.' [On back of photograph] 'Acre 170 / North east corner of King William Street and Pirie Streets. 1894 / Left side of S.A. Insurance Co.'s premises is 14.5 yards north of Pirie Street. On the right is Manufacturers Place.' (Another hand) 'For view of this corner in 1957 see B 13962.' The building contains the offices of W.A & J.E. Ewens, Sharebrokers and Licensed Landbrokers, on the ground floor. Wolford Albert Ewens (1861-1895) and John Ernest Ewens (1865-1894) were grandchildren of William Ewens and Sarah (nee Spiller), whose famileries arrived on the 'Prince Regent' on 25 September 1839.

South corner of King William Street and Pirie Street showing Eagle Chambers which was built in 1874. The architect was EJ Woods and also Gladstone Chambers was added in 1874. Eagle Chambers is the name of the three storey building on the corner of Pirie Street and King William Street. It has a balustraded parapet around the roofline.

[General description] This new two storey concrete faced building for Motor Parts & Service Ltd. is photographed from the opposite corner of the intersection which shows its Art Deco styling to advantage. On the right is Parsons & Robertson Ltd. which appears to have a tall windmill on its roof. Tram wires cross the upper foreground. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 211 / South east corner of Pirie Street and Pulteney Street / April 7th 1939 / Corner buildings erected in 1938 / Compare with B 7180 / Frontages of the building with cantilever verandah / Pirie Street frontage is 16.5 yards and Pulteney Street frontage is 35 yards'.

[General description] This two storey, concrete rendered building with a tiled roof was built in 1925 by contractor Frederick Fricker on a site in Ellen Street adjoining the High School. The cost of this project was over 9,300. The school has large windows and a pair of Dutch gables over its front porch. [On back of photograph] 'Port Pirie Technical School / Before 1927'.

Public Hospital at Port Pirie in 1932. The two storey building consists of one part with a balcony over a verandah, one part with twin peaked eaves, and a sloping roof over a single storey section. Wooden fence railings line the street.
