Travel in Tasmania in the late nineteenth century, album of views showing tourist and beauty spots near Hobart and the Huon Valley. Some photographs are attributable to the noted Melbourne photographer, Alfred Winter, who moved to Hobart in 1869. The album includes 33 pages of cuttings, mostly lithograph illustrations from newspapers. Several pages of cuttings depict women novelists, poets and social thinkers of the early nineteenth century. Ruled page borders in ink have been hand drawn around the photographs.
