Mid North and Flinders Ranges
Records of the Reverend Arthur M. Trengove comprising lantern slides and glass plate negatives. Contents include the Flinders Ranges and Alligator Gorge area, Horrock's Pass, agricultural and picturesque bush scenery captured while touring, both with horse and cart and later with motor vehicles. Trengrove probably used some of these slides during lectures or presentations, or during church services. Illustrated slides including published images
Records of the Reverend Arthur M. Trengove comprising colour lantern slides of illustrated cartoons. Some were possibly hand painted and some were made from engraved designs. Most were likely used during church services or presentations and for teaching purposes. The slides have a circular frame imbeded in the illustration. Some slides have 'B&S patent' or 'Canadian lecture, Copyright' inscribed in the image, which would relate to the slide's production. There are four cartoon sequences including the following; 1. a five slide cartoon version of the Cinderella fairytale, 2. a six slide cartoon sequence with turkish or eastern interior and figures, 3. a seven slide cartoon sequence of a ship and crew during a shipwreck, 4. a 12 slide sub series relating to shipping (The Fram) and exploration (Jackson and Nansen). Buxton scrapbook
Scrapbook album relating to the activities of Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton (Governor of SA from 1895-1898) and his family. It contains 98 original photos, as well as newspaper cuttings, watercolour paintings and letters. Possibly compiled by Lady Buxton. The majority are identified or annotated in the compiler's hand, sometimes using terminology that is today considered inappropriate.

Portrait of Frank Hann and Talbot
One of a collection of photographs collected by J.M. Maughan, this is a portrait of Frank Hann and Talbot (an Aboriginal man), both dressed in suits. The following information appears on the back of the photograph in pencil: 'The late Frank Hann, explorer & his 'boy' Talbot. They travelled frequently from Queensland across country to Western Australia. Frank Hann named "Mount Daisy Bates" after me. It is south of Mt Gosse & west of the SA-WA border. Lord Forrest & Frank Hann were old friends of many years. Frank Hann ruined himself (he had a beautiful station "Lawn Hill" near Normanton, Queensland) in his generosity to the groups round & about him. He was a very old friend of [?] Talbot - was as well educated as Frank Hann, & stayed with him on terms of equality at all hotels. Talbot was a Normanton native, & a very well mannered man. Frank Hann died in 1921. He opened up much splendid country in the Kimberleys & in W.A. west of the S.A. border. Lord Forrest always gave credit to Frank Hann for the utmost accuracy in his maps etc of his explorations. In ink: 'Daisy M. Bates'. Presented to J.M. Maughan, Adelaide.' The photo was taken by C.M. Nixon of Fremantle and Northam.
