Photographs collected and taken for a conservation study of older residential buildings and hotels in Adelaide city (not North Adelaide) in 1976-1977, initiated by the Adelaide Residents' Society Inc., which were later used in their 1978 publication 'Preserving Historic Adelaide' edited by Colin Bond and Hamish Ramsay (Rigby Limited). The names of the photographers are not specified, but the following people were involved: Bob Ramsay, Michael Brock, Peter Kelly and Peter O'Grady. (Negatives of their photographs comprise series 4-6 of this group, and may include images from this series.) Some of the early views of buildings have been copied from State Library images (denoted in captions by 'SLSA'). See 'Contents' in 'More info' for details. (The City Acre number or exact location is not specified). Three images not listed in the 'Contents' but included in the book are: (98) Part of Queen Elizabeth I's proclamation of 1560 'agaynst breakyng or defacing of Monuments'; (99) Elevation drawing of St Paul's Cathedral, London by Christopher Wren; (100) Kirribilli House, Sydney.

There are 21 photographs and 7 slides, with other people in them including Jill Heysen and Wlad Dutkiewicz. Photos 1-15 are during Marceau's 1965 visit, photos 16-21 from 1974, and 22-28 from 1981. Also included (but not digitised) are a QANTAS menu with letter and drawings by Marceau written to Ostoja (1965?), notes to Ostoja on Marceau's business cards with his drawings, and telegrams from Paris received 31 August and 22 September 1965 (in envelope in box), and typescript copy of letter from Ostoja dated 15 August 1965, discussing a project for a show he was planning with Marceau.
