Historical information

Joseph Vardon served as the Mayor of Hindmarsh and on both the Adelaide and Unley city councils; he represented Adelaide Central in the Legislative Council 1900-1906, was Commissioner of Public Works and Minister of Industry, and President of the Liberal Union of Australia 1910-13.
