Photographs from Harry Godson's collection which had been given his catalogue numbers but were not included in earlier digitised series 1-4. His numbers are included in caption details. Among the collection are photographs from the PS 'Marion' on its last trip from Berri to Mannum in June 1963 before being handed over to Mannum National Trust (images 32-63). Most images undated. Part of a collection of glass plate negatives which have been transferred from the National Trust of South Australia, Victor Harbor Branch. The images comprise swimming and boating, surfers, gatherings, and views of Victor Harbor including the causeway to Granite Island and the horsedrawn tram. The negatives were originally from Charles Hoffmann [assumed to be Hoffmann Photographics, Victor Harbor]. Kodak plates.

A large group of children and adults gathered together for a photo. The smaller children are arranged along the front row, with the older children and adults along the back row. A man in a top hat and coat stands in the middle. Although no information is provided about the group or the location, it looks like this is a school group. There is a stone building behind them and a flag pole on the right.

Black and white photoengraving on paper depicting a view looking East along Rundle Street, from possibly just past Frome Street. Several businesses are in view including The C. J. Young Shoe Co., Barlows, and Kindermann's Cafe, while a sign reading 'Griffiths Teas' can be seen at the top of a four storey building on the right a little way along the street. Three motor vehicle registrations are visible: 06034 is a Lagonda 11 registered in September 1915 to Mr. E.K. Collins of Mount Bryan, 04016 is a Buick registered to W.D. Taylor of Brougham place, North Adelaide, and 2509 was registered in 1912 to A. Addicoat of Adelaide. A young girl in the centre foreground is carrying a small Australian flag.

A mixture of glass plate negatives and acetate negatives, many believed to have been taken by George Reeves. A diary 'The Welcome Photographic Exposure Record and diary, 1912' which was used to record details of exposures; and a leaflet 'How to use Velox' can be found at D 8602(Misc).

King William Street during the visit of the Duke of York, 1927. The street is a mass of spectators mingling with mounted policemen. The whole area is festooned with flags and bunting. People are taking advantage of every high spot to catch a glimpse of the Royals.

Port Road Shopping Centre

It is quite crowded and there are flags strung over the walkways, giving it a festive air, possibly the opening. The couple are passing a chemist and have just passed Cowley's Bakery.
