Hoffmann photographs, box 19, Mount Breckan and Granite Island
Part of a collection of glass plate negatives which have been transferred from the National Trust of South Australia, Victor Harbor Branch. The images comprise the main house of the Mount Breckan property at Victor Harbor and Granite Island. Includes a postcard addressed to C. Hoffmann. The negatives were originally from Charles Hoffmann [assumed to be Hoffmann Photographics, Victor Harbor]. Imperial plates.
Adelaide Festival of Arts projects
The series consists of photographs, negatives, transparencies and documents relating to proposals, and projects undertaken by Ostoja-Kotkowski, for the Adelaide Festival of Arts. They include sound and image productions, floats, chromasonic towers, festival decorations, and exhibitions. It includes 'Genesis' designed in 1962 which was Ostoja's first attempt to present photographic images synchronised with sound. The 1968 Sound and Image production used a laser beam for the first time. 'Time Riders' was produced for the 1970 festival. Ostoja combined dreamtime legends with poetry by Judith Wright, Roland Robinson, Kenneth Slessor and Max Harris. Photographs of W.A. Robjohns
The series comprises 15 albums housing 1,973 photographs, most of which were taken by photographer W.A. Robjohns ca.1920-1966. Album covers were numbered and labelled by Robjohns. The sequence is incomplete, however, as only volumes 1-9, 12-14, 15, 20 and 23 have been donated. Robjohns' brief descriptions of content on the covers and spines are incomplete. For further descriptions of place names and subjects contained in each album, SEE details below. The albums contain small black and white prints, mostly undated, with captions by W.R. Robjohns. Also sepia and postcard prints, and a few hand-tinted prints. A small number of images were taken by other photographers, several of whom have been identified by Robjohns. Images depict Adelaide suburbs, city scenes and country towns, with an emphasis on rural landscapes, parks and reserves, rivers, reservoirs, streets, houses, churches, businesses and shop fronts, and public celebrations and processions. Also included are images of the Robjohns family on picnics and holiday outings, and their homes, cars and pets. A number of photos were duplicated or enlarged by Robjohns and appear in more than one album.

Photographs collected by S.A. White. They document family gatherings, White and other family properties, activities S.A. White was engaged in, and events happening around him. Photographs 6-16 were taken by S.A. White; a note on the envelope containing images 6-11 reads 'A man who was market gardening on paddock on west of Tapleys Hill Road. The Torrens Channel was cut through this land - S.A. White property', [in another hand] 'I think his name was Gaskin M.B.W'. Images 12-16 are of Breakout Creek - S.A. White was responsible for the 'management of seeing work carried out on old Breakout Creek before channel was cut to the Gulf. The foreman was a man named Stone'. Also documented is the fact that a Royal Doulton coffee set was presented to S.A. White on 1-12-32 by the Torrens Floodwaters Relief Committee by Mr T.H. Powell, Mr E.A. Lasscock secretary for his management of seeing work carried out on old Breakout Creek.

Letters written to his family from Egypt & Palestine
A selection of fifteen World War I letters, January 1916 - December 1918, written by Bert Penna to his mother and family in Sevenhills, South Australia while he was serving in the 11th Light Horse Regiment in Egypt, Heliopolis and Palestine. He describes the people he meets, including some whom he knows from the Clare Valley.

Cabinet portrait photograph of William Leonard (Len) Fitzsimons when he was a young boy. Born in Clare in 1895, he was a farmer in Mercunda in the Mallee Region. He volunteered to fight in World War I at age 20 in 1915, and was killed in action in France on 5 November 1916.
