Aerial photographs, mostly showing cricket underway at Adelaide Oval in front of large crowds. The scoreboard shows that the match is the 1929 Ashes Test Match between England and Australia. The photos are likely all taken on the second day of the test. Also included are views of nearby City Bridge and cars parked around the Oval. One image in the series is of an unrelated property.

[General description] This solid little one storey bank building is neo-classical in style. Next door is Wicks Bros. House Painters and Paper Hangers. Next is William Cox, Blacksmith and Wheelwright, where horses are "artfully shod". [On back of photograph] 'Acre 832 / O'Connell Street, east side / July 11, 1927. / Site of Savings Bank: Left side is 35 yards south of Tynte Street. Frontage: 11 yards. Savings Bank was erected in 1925-6 on a vacant site.'

Series of 102 black and white lantern slides numbered 40-145, illustrating the development of Adelaide, 1839-1914. Some slides are of maps, lithographs and sketches made by nineteenth century artists and lithographers. The series juxtaposes views of Adelaide buildings and streets and key landmarks at several time periods, to show the changes and developments in Adelaide to 1914. The streets in focus in this series include King William Street, North Terrace, Stephen's Place, Rundle Street, Hindley Street, Pulteney Street, Grenfell Street, Pirie Street, Gouger Street, Gawler Place and Hindmarsh Square. The following slides are not held: 1-39, 63, 67, 81, 128.
