Frontage of bank is 5.5 yards. Left side of bank is 33 yards east of Victoria Street. i.e. the bank occupies the south corner of Acre 50.'

It was built in 1859, by architect Edmund Wright and builder Charles Farr (vide Observer 12 March 1859, p3b). According to a researcher, this image depicts the Bank of South Australia on Commercial Rd, Port Adelaide not Lipson Street.
