General notes

Felix Provis and his wife Maggie nee Croucher ran the Railway Refreshment Rooms at Murray Bridge before Felix bought the Crown Hotel in Victor Harbor in Aug 1911. They had a child born in Port Elliot in April 1903 then another in Beachport December 1904 (these could be the two in the photo) and their first child in Murray Bridge was born in January 1907. The picture could have been taken in 1906. In the booklet "Views of Victor Harbor" published by David Bell & Co Ltd ca.1912 there is a promotion for the Crown Hotel, which had recently been purchased and refurbished by Felix Provis "Late of Railway Refreshment Rooms Murray Bridge".
