The alterations were made before 1954 (probably in 1953) The theatre was used between 1909 and 1952 and was designed to show moving pictures as well as theatrical performances.The theatre remained in operation until 1952. It was designed by architect A Barnham Black. On the opening night on April 10, 1909, Vaudeville acts along with moving pictures were featured
