Christ Church (Anglican), Mount Gambier. The foundation stone was laid by Leonard Gilbert Browne, eldest son of Dr Browne who was with Charles Sturt on his Central Australia expedition. The stone was laid in 1865 February 21. Bishop Short gave an address

Mount Gambier Hospital was established in 1869 and demolished in 1971. Dolomite from the first hospital was later used in the construction of vestry of the Christ Church Anglican

Mt. Gambier Town Hall, Institute Hall, and Institute (Commercial Street). The Town Hall was constructed in 1882 and first used as Council offices and meeting rooms. The clock and tower were donated by TC Ellis of Benara Station and were added in 1883. The adjoining Institute Library and Hall was constructed in 1869 with the upper storey being added in 1886. The building was used as a library and as a silent movie theatre between 1911 - 1926. A fine stained glass and leadlight ceiling is a feature of this building

The Mount Gambier Roller Four Mill was built in 1885 on the corner of Sturt Street and Bay Road, by Thomas Henry Williams. The mill was expanded in the late 1890s and 1900. Thomas Williams was also on the town council in 1876 and was mayor from 1881 - 1882. He was the first man to own a motor car in Mount Gambier. This was the fourth mill built by Thomas Williams. His second mill, the Commercial Steam Flour Mill, was located on Percy Street, and built in 1867.
