Group portrait of young men and women at a rocky hill in a park or nature reserve. The women are wearing broad-brimmed hats, high-waisted skirts and blouses with puff sleeves. The men are wearing suits with vests. The man at the front, centre, appears to be wearing a priest’s collar. Possibly a YMCA type group or similar.

To the left is a sign for ‘Willard storage battery service station, Smith & Dove Ltd’. Written on back: ‘This is not taken to my satisfaction at all. In the first place it wasn’t taken when the sun should be facing the building and secondly the cars aught not be facing the camera as the photographer placed them. Then later I will have another large sign put up advertising Dodge Cars which Cheneys are having made for me when I shall have it taken again my way’.
