Historical information

No. 4796 Private George Horsman, born in London, son of Joseph Horsman of Brompton, South Australia, worked as a labourer in Bowden before he enlisted with the AIF on 22 February 1917 at the age of 18. He served with the 32nd Battalion, 13th Reinforcement, and embarked with his unit from Adelaide on board the HMAT A30 'Borda' on 23 June 1917. He returned to Australia on 12 May 1918, and died on 19 July 1947.
