Struggler was owned in 1922 by William Henry Carter who used it for fishing parties. It had been converted from a cattle carrier.

Tucker]: 'this photo was taken in 1923 at Lock 3. PS 'Renmark' couldn't stem the tide through the navigable pass as the river was in flood and she was towing a heavily laden barge. PS 'Canally' was nearby and with her assistance, a further attempt was made. When this attempt failed, the PS 'Success' was also brought in to offer assistance and the combined power of the three paddle steamers succeeded in making it up through the navigable pass.'

The unidentified crew of 'P.S. Success', posed for photograph around the bow and foredeck. A researcher suggests that the man sitting on the bow could be Walter Bailey, born 1918. His uncles were Walter, Frank and Bert, and his grandfather was Walter Francis Bailey.
