Summary

Kingston Jetty which measures over 300 metres is situated on Lacepede Bay. The first jetty was built in 1864-65 and was 511 feet long. In 1876 a second jetty of 4000 metres was built to reach the deeper water. In the photograph mounds of distinctive Kingston seaweed cover the beach at the shoreline.
